Moises is working on his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and is studying under Saxophone professor Mr. Gregory Luffey. Moises is currently a Senior and plans to graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2021. Moises is a graduate from Bel Air High School where he was heavily involved in many bands. One of his many goals is to inspire students to pursue the arts of Music beyond primary education.
Moises has been a member of the Marching Miners for three years and is currently participating in his fourth. He lead as section leader in his second year and Drum Major in his third year and will continue as drum major into his final year. Moi has been a part of both Jazz and Symphonic Band for the past 3 years. He currently serves as Principal saxophone player in the Symphonic band under the direction of Dr. Andrew Hunter and plays Baritone Saxophone in Jazz I under the direction of Mr. Kenneth Capshaw.
Moises is an active member of the UTEP Pep Band as a sax and as a conductor. Moi is also a member of the Social Media team as the manager for UTEP Bands Twitter.
Outside of his UTEP duties, Moi works for Bel-Air High School as their saxophone tech.
