"Before coming to UTEP, I had never experienced being in a group quite like this. Having attended small high school with a 40 member band and jumping in head first with the Marching Miners was an amazing experience! One of my fondest memories was during my first summer camp. Showing up to our first rehearsal, I didn't expect to get familiar with too many people or have friends right away but with open arms, I was immediately received by an incredible section who looked out for each other and immediately made me a family member of this 200+ piece band."
